Beautiful well maintained property. It was so quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed relaxing on the patio in the afternoon. The beds were comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed for our stay.

If you are looking to escape the city noise look no further. This cottage and its location defines tranquility. It was so peaceful and relaxing at this cabin. On the deck you can hear a variety of bird songs and the occasioanl bleep of the goats. The deck is enclosed as is a small back yard which was perfect for our dog to run around after being on leash most of the day. The cabin was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The sleeping spaces were clean and comfortable. We adored this place and found ourselves wanting to spend time away from ganges and the busy downtown core and spend more time relaxing in this hidden oasis.

The cottage was very peaceful and relaxing, we only stayed one night but all wished it were more. We didn't meet Michael, but communicated with his via the chat. It was a very warm day so was quite hot when we arrived, but Michael made sure to open all the windows to let a breeze in and we were all comfortable.

Beautiful peaceful property surrounded by nature

This property was perfect for our weekend getaway with friends. Private, yet located as a cottage on a stunning property, it had a wraparound deck with forest views from all windows. Kitchen was small, yet well-appointed and furniture and beds were very comfortable! We appreciated the wood-burning fireplace and logs & kindling that were left for us. Owner also came by with extra cushions for outdoor furniture. Owner was respectful of our privacy, yet communicative when appropriate. The location was a bit remote which suited us just fine, but was still about 10-15 minutes away from the Saturday Market and town centre. Overall, a quaint, super-clean, cottage which we would 100% book again.

The cabin was very clean and nice, and having a fire in the fireplace in the evening as the sun went down was delightful. Michael the host was quick to respond and otherwise in the background, perfect. All in all a very good experience.

The cottage was wonderful. In the trees with a great deck. The bed was comfortable and the cottage was just as described. It’s a very steep gravel drive up to it, as a warning. It’s close to Ruckle Provincial Park and not far from Fulford also (by car). Takes about 20-25 minutes to get into Ganges.

We loved staying here. It was the perfect place to spend a long weekend. The cottage was clean, peaceful, and equipped with everything we needed. The host was extremely welcoming and responsive to any questions we had. Morning coffee/tea out on the deck was the highlight for sure!

Peaceful with the beauty of nature all around us. The cabin was clean and fully equipped to meet our needs. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, walks in the woods and a nice cozy fire at night, this is the spot.

There was some miscommunication and assumptions made between the owner and ourselves, when it came to having a pet and when it came to the breakfast option. The owner also did not answer (ignored?) the question I posed three times in VRBO messaging about whether any discounts were available but answered my other questions. And lastly, there was no toilet paper in our cabin and so we had to text the owner to bring some over and that text was made late in the evening and not the best for the owner or for us. When the owner came to drop off the TP, my dog was on the couch, and the owner was visibly displeased and had to say to me “dogs are not allowed on the furniture.” I felt terrible, even though we had put a towel down, it was the reprimand/tone (we were paying $438/night) that felt offside. Otherwise so very clean and really lovely place.

Beautiful and clean property. Two lovely bedrooms, perfect for 2 couples or family. Huge deck with 2 sets of table and chairs. Only negative thing in my opinion is that the cottage is 19 km from the Ganges area where most of the shopping, groceries and restaurants are. Other than that, it was all good.

We loved staying at the cottage, the only sounds that we heard were birds chirping in the trees. We were able to use the kitchen and relax having our breakfast and dinner on the outside deck. Delightful stay. The cottage is at the end of a long dusty road, but quiet and peaceful. About 15 minutes from Ganges and 20 minutes from Long Harbour ferry. All was as represented in the photos. We would return.

Great place! Absolutely will be visiting again. My only suggestion would be to make the place dog friendly, as I would be back more times than I could. Absolutely recommend the place.
