About this house rental

Historic Kenwood was named National Neighborhood of the Year in 2020. In 2021 our home was listed on HK's annual "BungalowFest" tour of homes, featured in "The Garden Edition" chosen for its extra lush and tropical setting.

The neighborhood is known for friendliness and inclusiveness. It is home to an Artist Enclave (many artists living and working from home studios.) It is walking distance to bars, restaurants, museums, galleries, breweries, world famous DOG BAR (you can get a doggy fix there)

Brick lined streets are lined with smiling houses (big open front porches), so naturally, porch parties are a regular thing in the neighborhood. Our porch includes a dining table and 2nd seating area with 2 fans, fountain, mango tree, privacy in the front yard with large hedges.

Enter home to original wood floors and double hung windows, providing plenty of light and air and view to the private gardens/yard. A wood burning fireplace beckons but only to be used with candles (no real fires please) This home has been most often referred to as 'charming, cozy, exudes abundant warmth' and my favorite..."It feels like a hug" I cannot agree more!

You will have many options to get outside in your own yard...the back yard is a tropical and private oasis with multiple seating and gathering spots, it is fully enclosed with privacy fence, 3 gates. You can venture out to world famous white sand gulf beaches (20-25 mins drive) or downtown waterfront (10 min drive) to see Dali Museum, Beach Drive, St. Pete Pier, art galleries, festivals, restaurants etc. Or, take a stroll around the neighborhood and find your way to Central Ave for a bite or cocktail.

A small studio sits at the back of the property (detached) and is an artists studio, currently used as owners storage.

For Dog Lovers: outdoor shower in backyard with hot water, great for dog baths. Fully enclosed yard. A public dog park is about 3 blocks away, plus world famous Dog Bar 4 blocks away, and a martini and pool bar for dogs about 10 blocks away. It is dog city around here:)

We love this home, neighborhood and all that St. Petersburg has to offer. We invite you to come and explore, and enjoy!

PS should you wish to have vacation portraits taken I will happily suggest best places, times, and even take you there, with MY CAMERA, ( I am a professional photographer) should you wish to add this service (photoshoot extra $)

Some of our favorite things to do:

Drink: Walk over to Central Avenue, (4 blocks) and explore shops, bars: Dog Bar, COCK, Dirty Laundry, Grand Central Brewhouse; 3 Daughters Brewing, La La, Cage Brewing/Music.

Dine: Wild Child, Good Intentions, Eat Love Central, Taquirita, Urban Still House, Bo and Moes, La La, The Burg
Art: Grand Central Arts and Warehouse Arts District, both walking distance, and host monthly Art Walk, many independent galleries and shops here, but for more hop on the Sunrunner, head downtown check out: Dali Museum, The Chihully, Museum of Fine Arts; Arts and Craft Museum, The James Museum, Morean Arts Center, and many boutiques and galleries all about.

Sight See: Downtown St. Pete: The Vinoy Historic Hotel, The Pier, Beach Drive, or go west to world famous white sand beaches: Ft Desoto, Treasure Island, St. Pete Beach and so many gorgeous views all around.
