Queimada Lodges by an island apart

Location, perfect old town location. It’s a corner property so the front room has windows on both sides which makes it nice and bright. Two small balconies on one side viewing the cobbled street below. The high ceilings gave it that originally old feeling to it. The terrace upstairs on the roof was shared but we had it to ourselves for the week. Felt like our own private terrace with sea views and views of Funchal.

Nothing, but a set of tables and chairs on the roof terrace would have been nice. We ate in on two or three nights and having the option to eat upstairs and see the city by night would have been spectacular. There’s loungers up there but nothing you could eat a meal from. Plus clean the bird muck up before guests arrive up there. Not really an issue and there wasn’t much and you can’t stop pigeons doing what they are meant to but just a quick mop and a sweep would have improved our experience of using that space. You could put lights up there as well to make eating up there better. Just a thought.

Ohjeet majoitukseen olivat selkeät. Asunto oli siisti ja varustelu hyvä. Sijainti erinomainen.

Jätehuoltoa ei ollut, pesu- ja lakaisukoneiden melu myöhään illalla ja aikaisin aamulla.

Location was excellent. Facilities were excellent. We loved it and would go back any time.

It was a bit noisy at night at times.

L’emplacement et la luminosité de l’appartement étaient parfaits.

Il y a des punaises de lit dans la chambre. J’ai été piquée partout. Je me rappelle en effet avoir remarqué 2 insectes noirs et plats sur le mur de la chambre et 3 ou 4 taches noires sur une taie d’oreiller. Je me souviens qu’il y a avait 2 boîtes répulsifs à insectes dans le salon. J’ai signalé le problème après avoir été piquée pour qu’ils traitent le logement. Je n’ai pas eu de réponse. Je suis traitée pendant 7 jours aux corticoïdes pour calmer les inflammations dues aux piqûres. A part ça l’appartement est bien. Dommage qu’ils ne semblent pas prêter attention à leur problème de punaises.
