The property is in a prime location, with shops just a two-minute walk away. When we arrived, the house was spotless, well-organised, and very welcoming. The décor was tasteful and added to the overall charm of the property. The beautiful views were an added bonus and made our stay even more enjoyable.

Rules, rules, and more rules everywhere. There seemed to be a rule for almost everything. The purpose of going on holiday is to relax and enjoy yourself, not to feel stressed about constantly following instructions and restrictions. Hot Tub Issues I have stayed at many properties with hot tubs before, and whenever I arrived, the hot tub was ready to use. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. When we arrived, the water temperature was set very low, making it unusable for several hours. I sent a photo of the temperature reading to the owner, who advised that it would not go higher than 33°C. However, she did not mention that the temperature could actually be adjusted up to 40°C. We eventually discovered this ourselves after spending some time trying to work it out. This was particularly disappointing because one of the main reasons we booked this property was to enjoy the hot tub. Once we were finally able to use it, we discovered another issue. The chemical levels appeared to be extremely high. Within about 10 minutes of being in the water, all of us experienced skin irritation and itching. This was unusual, as I have used hot tubs for extended periods at many other properties without any issues. We tried using it again the following day and experienced the same problem. The irritation was so severe that I developed small cuts and cracks on my hands after using the water. Faulty Electrical Appliances There were also issues with some of the electrical appliances. My partner attempted to use the hair dryer, but it began smoking almost immediately after being turned on. Thankfully, she was not injured, but it could have easily become a safety issue. In addition, the electric blankets in both bedrooms did not work. When we notified the owner, we were advised that there had been brownouts in the area. While we understand that power issues can occur, it was disappointing that these faults had not been identified and resolved before guests arrived.

Very expensive and too many ridiculous house rules and extra payment for everything (even on changing the spa water $200, what?) Not allowed to use shoes inside the house. Take the bin out. Don't use the flowery pillow on the bed - don't put it on then. The picture looked like the space at the back was huge, no it's not huge. Not allowed to use shoes inside the house. Take the bin out. The owner is difficult to deal with and condescending to talk to. Cathy didn't process my refund until 9 days after our checkout and multiple follow ups (the Booking.com page says within 7 days). We'll stay at the caravan park next time, they have friendly staff, fresh towels everyday, they'll let us in with shoes on, and will let us use all the display pillows.
