Disappointed on first arrival. Not worth the money
Large comfy bed. Hot tub- once we were able to use it
After a 6 hour drive and over £1000 spent on a 4 night stay we were very shocked to arrive to a cottage that hadn’t been changed / Cleaned since it’s previous guests. After a call to team, 2 cleaners arrived to say they had been delayed which we were not previously informed about. They said they could have it done within 45 minutes which was a bit of a shock considering the size of the property. We went away and came back to it cleaned however this cottage I wouldn’t describe as luxury. It needs some serious attention and after reading the prev reviews it’s obvious the owners aren’t taking any into consideration or rectifying any issues and if cleaning takes 45 minutes you can see why. The hot tub we couldn’t use on the first night due to the delay in changeover as it was stone cold. Not sure when the windows / outside area was last cleaned but everything looked filthy /green. Lock on downstairs shower room window was broken and wouldn’t even close shut and as it’s a wet room the floor was constantly soaked and lethal. Some tips. They provide a washing machine but no where to hang any wet washing. No clothes maiden or line. No remote for the tv in the main bedroom. Contacted them who said they would contact owners but heard nothing. Could do with a full length mirror and at least a stool for the dressing table. The towels were tiny and paper thin and when theres a hot tub you need to take extra. Overall this is not worth the price and definitely doesn’t have the luxury feel or finishing touches you would expect for the price and with the check in experience we were disappointed.

Beautiful property, a lovely weekend break with my family.
The property was beautiful, set in stunning grounds… there were tree swings and lovely areas for the children to play… they enjoyed this so much, We also had a hot tub which was perfect. The beds were comfortable. We really did have a lovely weekend stay here, but for the money we paid there are a few things we felt could have been better….
I feel like the property needed some maintenance; the patio area had not been cleaned, the slabs were green, the outside table was also very dirty. The shower room was so slippery and there was no mop available to clean up quickly after a shower. Although the inside of the property did feel clean it did not smell pleasant, it smelt like dog and we had to buy some air freshener. Another sofa in the lounge would also have been lovely. These are just some pointers for management team… it did not affect our stay, we really did have a lovely weekend stay here.

excellent mini break
the property is stunning and great location the hot tub was a added bonus booked last minute so no complaints
wasn't any not to like but if i had to say something maybe a full length mirror for us ladies and a stool in the bedroom at the dressing table would have been nice if there was milk in the fridge and loo roll on arrival so did have to go straight back out to get these

Save your money for a place that delivers on what it promises. Also, block the gates
Location was fair. Reasonably close to amenities. On the whole, these were the only positives.
We paid a lot of money for a cottage with a hot tub, which was NOT private at all! We had people walking their dogs right past our hot tub, actually had dogs run into the cottage meaning their owners had to chase them inside. Also had said dog owners drop their animals bagged faeces onto our "private" patio area - next to hot tub and outside seating area. Their were wasps everywhere. Understandable when in a wooded area, however, not acceptable when there were dozens of wasps entering through the brick vents. The vent at the top of the stables next to the upstairs bedroom was the worst. The kitchen windows were cracked open, the other wasped vent was right next to this, when we arrived there were at least 5 wasps in the kitchen. The wasps made eating outside in the recent glorious weather, near impossible. You couldn't even have a drink in peace without being bothered. We had to scrub the patio furniture as it clearly hadn't been touched in a long time. The hot tub surprisingly was the cleanest part of the cottage. Although it is not at all private. People were actually stopping to say hello- pleasant as that may be, when you're half naked in your "private area", it wasn't the best. The cottage - the windows inside were filthy. There were actual face prints on the glass inside. The towels on the downstairs bed were musty, as was the green fleece throw that was on the end of the bed. I dread to think when the last time that was washed, this includes the throws that were in the lounge sideboard. They most definitely haven't been washed recently. The wet room is lethal. The shower works brilliantly, however it does not drain. The whole room took a whole day to dry as the water doesn't drain properly. It sits on the entire floor. And unless your 6ft tall, you've got no chance of turning the extractor fan on!! It was handy to have a dryer in the stables as you'll need it to dry towels.

Relaxing
The only negative thing I can say is the wet room floor is dangerous, the wrong tills have been fitted to the floor and is very slippy

Excellent, but without decent internet access
Clean, new
Lack of decent internet access (advertised as with internet…). Line extremely volatile and slow, random disconnections…
