The Old Stable

Appears to be newly renovated, to high standard. A nice welcome bowl, of eggs, fancy tea bags, cookies, a pint of milk in the fridge too.

Stay was just me and the dog, I booked because it was dog friendly, however I didn't realise I needed to arrange this with the owner. Owner didn't like this, and wanted another £30 for extra cleaning and providing a few biscuits, and a towel. Dogs are not allowed upstairs, on furniture or to be left alone, because of that I wouldn't book again. Nit picking but unfortunately the weather has been very wet and the road between the parking space and entrance was full of puddles and no light to negotiate in the dark. The light above the door is not aiming down so not great. EV chargers locally aren't great, Tesco have 4, (podpoint) Sainsburys is currently free ( podpoint) but everyone knows so busy. There are 6 to the left of the gym at the bottom of Drake lane but most spaces say permit only.So providing a charge point at the accommodation would be great.

The location of the property is lovely. Just outside the town and having a paddock to walk the dog around is a real benefit. It was nice having some privacy for the garden and patio area. The decor of the Old Stable has been done nicely and it was nice to imagine it with horses in years ago.

Only small things!! The garden area was smaller than anticipated - the photos on the website made it look larger. Having a downstairs bathroom was a nuisance, especially if having a dog that you don’t want to disturb during the night or early morning (but that’s our personal preference-other people might be ok with it) Only 1 toilet roll and 1 black sack for rubbish for the whole week was not really enough (had to buy more) and there wasn’t a designated bin for dog waste.

These are some of the small touches we loved. The picture by the side of the bathroom door. The coat hanger in the bedroom that was modelled on a tool. The cookies after a long journey. A very comfortable large bed. The neutral colour schemes are calming. The paddock is an amazing space for our dog and the walks beyond. The redwoods in the wood are amazing We love the area, it has a lot of beauty on offer. Good luck for the future. Dave, Lynne and Bilbo.

Ein wunderbares, ländlich, elegantes Cottage für zwei Personen perfekt, Hunde willkommen, fernab vom Cotswolds Overcrowd. Sessel, Sofa, geschmackvolle Einrichtung mit liebevoll englischen Details. Ein Dachgeschoss mit einem königlichen Bett mit Linnenwäsche. Ein kleiner, privater Garten, überall umgeben von Wiesen und Hügeln und den Wanderwegen. Sehr freundlich ein Willkommenskörbchen der Gastgeber. Jederzeit sind sie ansprechbar und das Anwesen ist lange in Familienbesitz. Das Dorf ist eine untouristische, ruhige Base vom nepalesisch Essen bis zum Jazz-Livekonzert am Dorfplatz mit Picknick von den BewohnerInnen und dem Supermarkt für alles. Bristol ist toll zum Essengehen am Hafen. Das romantische Sudeley Castle ist gut erreichbar und Snowshill und andere Perlen. Wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt an diesem Ort! Jede Rose haben wir gefunden.
