Gîte de Bel Oeuvre

Il y a de l'air dans tous le sens du terme, dans le grand jardin-verger, à l'intérieur aussi où personne ne se marche sur les pieds. Le gîte est vraiment très beau, mieux que sur les photos de présentation qui ne rendent pas tout à fait justice au lieu Le village autour est une carte postale. Les contacts avec Karen et Pierre très simples...

The gite is a brand new conversion and really roomy and well executed. The exposed stone walls give a soft feel and are attractive Bedrooms are large and airy and there is a well appointed kitchen. I think we may have been the first visitors. The garden to the front of the property s like an orchard and is extensive, safe and enclosed. The gite is a few minutes away from Argentan with its tasty restaurants and 50 minutes from the boat in Caen. Wifi was good. The host Karen could not have been more friendly or helpful - answered any queries immediately and booked restaurant for us and treated us to a bottle of her family made cider - delicious. There is a log burning stove which was not appropriate in August but would be lovely in cooler months

The sitting room had not yet been fitted out but that did not affect us as we were out all day and came back and sat around the large family table. There are three bathrooms two on the ground floor but none ensuite although the one of the first floor is convenient for all bedrooms. I think Karen will add a bedside table and a mirror in the bedrooms in due course.
