Pristine 2-Bed Apartment with Pool and Balcony

Overall a very nice apartment to stay in.

Very expensive for what it was, even at this time of year.

Breakfast was not included. Location was excellent - close to beach a 2 minute walk; within a 5 minute drive to Sunshine Beach cafe’s and Sunrise Beach shopping strip.

1. Shower floor in en-suite had strands of hair; 2. Shower head in 2nd bathroom didn’t work properly; 3. Supply of dishwasher tablets/powder very limited. 4. There were no manuals/operating instructions for the stovetop or oven. Had to search on internet only to find a lengthy (many pages) of instructions for oven. Strongly suggest a laminated summary of operating instructions could be mounted close to major appliances I.e. stovetop & oven. 5. Host had incorrect wifi code which took us approx 30minutes to realise when connection went ‘down’ due to weather conditions.

it was a simple layout that worked for a family, lovely kitchen and bathroom facilities. beds were very comfortable. pool was enjoyed regularly. car park was excellent. deck was lovely too.

on the Sunday that we checked out there was a very funky smell that seemed to be in the laundry/cupboard area that spread throughout the apartment. we thought it smelt like something had died? but then it got better just as we left so think it may have been to do with the drains? it was only our last morning so didn’t bother us for long.

Size of the apartment and amenities within the property. Would stay again if aircon was available. Winter stay maybe better without aircon!

There was no air conditioning! This should be stated on the particulars. Anyone elderly or with a heart condition would be a health hazard in hot tropical weather. This is Queensland. One ceiling fan in large kitchen/lounge is not sufficient South facing large balcony draws a lot of heat from sun. Would mention pool area very small and pool not very clean. Nobody using it.
