The room is cozy and bright, with a pleasant atmosphere — it feels like a princess’s chamber. The large insulated balcony is a definite plus, offering a nice view and a comfortable place to relax. The room has everything needed for living, including dishes and an electric kettle. It was a nice bonus that a microwave and a toaster were also available. The host provides drinking water and offers home-cooked food, fruits, cookies, as well as a variety of tea and coffee. Guests can use the kitchen and the refrigerator, which is convenient. By prior arrangement, the host allowed an earlier check-in than the stated time, which I appreciate. I would also like to mention the friendly dog Nancy — for animal lovers, this may be a pleasant bonus.

There is a bathtub in the bathroom; however, using the shower is generally expected. The possibility of taking a bath is available by agreement with the host, which should be considered when booking. Unfortunately, the TV in the room was not working. As an alternative, a TV in the shared living room was offered, but this is not a full replacement, as access to the common area depends on whether the host is at home, and watching TV in a private space was important to me. I would also like to note that certain aspects of the stay — such as the possibility of taking a bath and the non-working TV in the room — were not discussed in advance and became clear only during the stay. It also became clear after arrival that it is not recommended to lock the bathroom door, as the lock may get stuck. It is also worth mentioning that there is a dog living in the apartment. Although she is friendly, this information was not indicated in advance, so guests with allergies or sensitivity to animals should take this into account. For information: there is no elevator in the building; access is via stairs to the third floor. This accommodation may suit guests who are comfortable staying with the host and having active interaction. Guests who value personal space, independence, and a sense of full autonomy should consider the specifics of this format in advance. It is also worth noting the current changes in train service between Riga and the Dubulti area in Jūrmala: part of the route is temporarily replaced by a bus. This information is not always announced at the stops, so it is better to check the route in advance; otherwise, you may face waiting for transport and transfers, which can be especially uncomfortable in cold weather.
