Fort Charlotte Guest House

Self-check in/out was easy for this centrally located guest house. Room was lovely, well appointed, spotlessly clean, and spacious. It looked onto Commercial Street, where you can watch the world go by day, but it was quiet and peaceful by night. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful when we met them in the cosy breakfast room in the morning. An early continental breakfast was no problem the second morning when we had a plane to catch. You can come and go as you please, and there is a little terrace you can use to sit out in if the weather is fine. Highly recommend if you are looking for a comfortable stay in Lerwick close to the harbour, restaurants, and shops. Parking was not a problem for us either.

Breakfasts were perfect. All staff were terrific.

The location is excellent, also it is quiet although in the town centre. The breakfast is excellent!

Could not fault this lovely guest house. Ryan and Anita were kind and welcoming, happy to share information about Lerwick and Shetland. You are steps from Commercial Street but still feels private and cozy. I stayed in the single room which was ideal for me travelling solo. As I was departing later in the evening on the ferry they made me welcome to come back and use the dining room long after check out.
