Be Mate Trafalgar

Fantastic stay in a great part of Madrid. The neighbourhood is exactly what we wanted: central and very well connected, with a lovely plaza just down the street where locals gather, plenty of restaurants and terraces, and a supermarket close by. It's a mix of residential and commercial streets, away from the busy touristic centre, yet the old town is easy to reach. Check-in with door codes was simple, and the lift was great with our luggage. The apartment was cozy, modern, comfortable and super clean, with air conditioning throughout, a pristine bathroom with a good-sized shower, clean linens and a TV. The balcony had a great view and let in lots of light, and the blackout curtains worked well when we wanted darkness. The balcony doors and windows had good sound insulation, so we had no noise from outside. We had everything we needed.

Only small hiccups. The digital lock on the apartment door didn't work the first time (the building entry code was fine), but the emergency line reset it remotely and it was solved quickly. Before arrival, the security step asked for a photo of my credit card instead of a normal card charge, which felt odd. Booking.com confirmed it was legitimate, but fixing the upload on the property's platform took several days of back-and-forth, with replies about once a day because of the time difference. It all worked out, and nothing affected the stay itself.

The location of the apartment is brilliant, the neighborhood is beautiful, it has a nice nightlife as well and you can walk around Madrid from there. The apartment has everything you need and is very comfortable. i would definitely come back to this apartment.

Quiet lovely neighborhood near metro, clean unit, comfortable beds, easy check in process, pleasant and helpful staff

There was a red blinking safety light on both bedroom smoke alarms that was a little disconcerting at night; kitchenette was truly minimal; someone smelled up the communal laundry facility by washing and drying their dirty sneakers; the bathroom needed a fan to prevent a condensation drip
