Originally built in 1878, the Clarkson W. Freeman House is close to everything in Springfield! On the Historical Register, the moment you step into this home you will feel like you're traveling back in time. From the original clawfoot tub to the elegant wallpapered rooms - every inch of this home is adorned with unique, historical charm.

The kitchen combines original pieces with modern conveniences such as a full-sized fridge, stove, and coffee station. The chef of your group will adore serving their culinary creations at the formal dining table, amongst the fine Chinaware and wood finishes.

True to its time period, there are multiple sitting rooms, the perfect places for tea and work - at the designated work desk. Additionally, the spacious living room features soft seating and a large TV. One bedroom with easy access to a bathroom is available on the main level.

Upstairs, there are three large bedrooms all complete with elegant wallpaper, plush quilts, and charming antiques. Downstairs, you will have access to a private washer/dryer.

Outside, two large porches offer magnificent spots to relish the delightful Springfield weather with your loved ones.

House Rules
-This home is not equipped with central air-conditioning or central heat. Window units are available in the home and it is heated with radiators/boiler system.

This Vacasa Guestworks vacation rental is operated and managed locally by an independent host.
Prior to your arrival, you will receive local host contact information, who will manage your guest reservation. Your local host will provide in-stay support, secure entry, and arrange pre- and post-stay housekeeping services.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
