The Space:
Welcome to Southern Comfort Retreat!
Southern Comfort Retreat is an oasis for nature lovers, hikers, or anyone looking to escape for a weekend away! Centrally located within minutes of all your outdoor adventures, sightseeing, and multiple lake entrances!
Once you are inside the retreat you will be surrounded by elevated fixtures and comfort in every room. On the main floor, there are three bedrooms, a dining room, a living room with a fireplace, a full kitchen, and direct access to the front porch and back patio. As you adventure into the lower level you will experience a true blast from the past! This retro space den comes fully equipped with a second full kitchen, in-unit laundry, bathroom, multiple couches, a projector and screen, dining space, and so much more! Attached to this den is a private suite and sitting room. This elevated space will provide privacy and comfort to the guests staying at the Retreat. This suite has direct access to the outdoor cover and private spa room. This suite also has a private attached bathroom. The entire property sleeps 17 with 4 total bedrooms and 6 roll-away beds.
Outside of the retreat, you will find a corn hole, multiple relation spots, a grill, a hot tub that is covered for year around enjoyment, plenty of parking, beautiful city views, and so much more! The Southern Comfort Retreat is perfect for reunions, families, friends, and any large group coming to Scottsboro!

Our recent stay at Southern Comfort was absolutely incredible, and I just had to share how much we enjoyed every single moment! From the stunning vistas that greeted us each morning to the house itself, which was truly a picture of charm and comfort, everything exceeded our expectations.What really impressed us was the thoughtful design, with its two distinct living areas elegantly connected by a gorgeous staircase. This layout was an absolute godsend! It meant our large group of twelve, including my family of five, could comfortably spread out, giving everyone both shared spaces for fun and private nooks for relaxation. It never felt cramped, which is a huge plus when you're traveling with a big party.We spent countless hours soaking up the ambiance, whether it was lounging on the fabulous front porch, enjoying the beautifully kept yard, or gathering for some evening fun. Evenings were pure magic around the yard campfire on the lanai, perfect for roasting marshmallows under the stars and making lasting memories.The home was spotless upon our arrival, which always makes a huge difference, and it truly felt so welcoming and accommodating with shopping amenities 4min away. A special shout-out to the downstairs area – it felt like its own private retreat! This was a total game-changer for my family of five, especially with two energetic toddlers. Having that separate space allowed them to play freely and even unwind with their favorite shows on the huge projector screen.

House overall is good. The hot tub was leaking and had to be refilled multiple times.
