We were under a boil water notice. I had to text the owner or manager about that to be sure. They didn’t know so we had to go out and buy more water to be able to cook with it. The place itself was ok. There were definite areas that the house needed repairs as some tiles were loose on the floor. The ladder on the boat house was broken and couldn’t be used. The AC had to stay at 72 and for East Texas during the day that was on the warm side. The view of the lake was very nice and that made up for some of the other issues. It was nice that we could bring our boat to the house and tie it up. Overall it was ok.

10 of us stayed there for 3 nights and it was a very comfortable place to stay. The host Amy was very responsive despite it being a thanksgiving weekend. I got prompt responses to all my questions. The house was pretty neat with pretty much all amenities. We missed a kettle though.One star less for the unclean dock though. It was really dirty and while one of the criterias for choosing this place was the pretty dock, we just couldnt use it barring standing there for a few mins and clicking pictures. All the chairs were really dirty and there was no way a quick cleaning from us would've helped. I believe Amy tried to get that resolved through a neighbor but I guess thanksgiving time was the reason of that not being completed. Other than that, it was a great place with beautiful lake views

It was wonderful. Loved the game room….where we played Spinner, Poker, Euchre and Mancala. The dock was great for reading, sitting and talking, fishing and watching birds and boats. The kitchen served us well, the beds were comfortable, and the owner was prompt and so helpful when I contacted her with a couple questions. We hope to return in the future.
