The renovated design kept the history alive while adding a more modern charm. Direct views of Pettigrew State Park, Lake Phelps and surrounding farms can be seen from the home and property. The Lake offers tundra swan migration, bass fishing & much more! Enjoy boating, hiking trails, biking, swimming, kayaking, picnicking, hunting, fishing & wildlife observation. Public boat ramp is located in close proximity. Relax on the sunporch with breath taking views of Lake Phelps! The rich history and habitat of the area are second to none. Only one hour drive to OBX. This is the best house. It is exactly as pictured - clean, comfortable and spacious. The outside seating is a great addition as well.
The host’s had an amazing welcome for us as well - some of the tastiest cupcakes and a huge bowl of snacks -truly appreciated after a long drive.
The house is well stocked from the kitchen to the bedrooms and baths plus the laundry room. I feel like most houses now barely have TP and Jess had multiple detergent types for us.
Jess was great - offering ideas to do in the area and responding immediately.
Oh and did I mention the tandem bike?
