This apartment is located in Bebek which is a nice seaside town in Istanbul. You can go for a walk or jog easily from the apartment. It is not on the main street which is a plus considering the noise and pollution from the traffic. Shower head had pressured hot water. There is a washing machine and a microwave. Size is suitable for 2 couples. There were two fans for ventilation. It was well equipped. Storage space was more than sufficient. TV had foreign channels. The main door was sturdy and felt safe.

When we opened the door and entered the apartment the first thing we noticed was the overwhelming smell of smoke. There was also cigarette burn on the bed showing that indeed people have been smoking here. This not only made sleeping difficult but also gave sore throat to all. The second disappointment was about the lack of natural lighting in the apartment since this is a basement floor facing a wall. One of the bedrooms had no window at all. We have not expected this considering the high price and the pictures provided. The location is good but the short climb from the shore is not ideal for people with luggages or strollers since there is no proper sidewalk. The fridge and washing machine are very noisy. Sofa and the curtains were pretty dirty. There were no additional pillows and the ones on the bed were inadequate. Shower was making a pool since the drainage was blocked. First day the neighbours upstairs were really noisy and sound insulation is very poor.
