Sehr uriges Cottage mit viel Charme. Die Lage ist wunderschön in der English countryside, es ist unglaublich ruhig und erholsam und gleichzeitig hat man den Ort mit Geschäften, Restaurants und Pub ganz in der Nähe. Der Bahnhof ist ca. 25 min zu Fuß, von dort erreicht man London Bridge in ca einer Stunde und Hastings an der Küste in einer halben Stunde. Außerdem gab es Liegestühle zum Sonnen und Entspannen, die wir auch zum Beobachten der Sternschnuppen genutzt haben 😊
Aufgrund der sehr sommerlichen Temperaturen hätten wir den Tisch draußen gerne mehr für unsere Mahlzeiten genutzt, allerdings sind Bank und Tisch etwas in die Jahre gekommen und daher nicht mehr ganz eben. Und eine zweite Pfanne hätten wir gut gebrauchen können, aber das ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau 😊

Het huis is heerlijk. Voorzien van alle gemakken. De bedden zijn comfortabel. De douches zijn goed. We ontvingen een geweldig welkomstpakket, thee, koffie, boter, melk, appelsap, brood. Er is een smart tv, ook handig. De woonkamer is ruim met prima banken. Het huis ligt op loopafstand van het dorp Wadhurst. De omgeving is prachtig. Het was erg warm maar we kregen zonder te vragen een airco om wat te kunnen afkoelen.
Vanuit de tuin kijk je op een muur, dat is een beetje jammer. Ook is de picknick bank buiten aan vervanging . De andere buitenzitstoelen zijn ook niet comfortabel. De tuin bij het kasteel is niet zomaar toegankelijk.

Lovely location with views from the bedrooms of the castle and its beautiful gardens. Very cute fire for cosy evenings. Excellent and well equipped and maintained kitchen. Staying in the cottage means you get to walk the castle grounds which are stunning
The bathroom would benefit from some modernisation and the fan in it is loud enough to disturb sleep so could be refined

In het huis was alles aanwezig. Van vaatwas tablet tot wasmachine tabletten, wc papier, handdoeken, lakens, aanmaakblokjes voor de kachel, wifi noem maar op. Heel vriendelijke gastvrouw. Parking volop en mooi uitzicht. Rustige en prachtige omgeving.
Aan de verblijfplaats niets. Je moet wel een beetje rijden als je een supermarkt wil vinden, (er waren wel kleine winkeltjes dichtbij met basis voorraad). We reden elektrisch en daarvoor moesten we wel een 15 min rijden voor een laad-paal, maar dat is natuurlijk bijzaak.
