Compact but cosy when we got the air conditioning sorted and an extra blanket. Nice, convenient location. Host great.

Coffee machine good but no other cooking facilities!

The location is superb. A peaceful part of town with stunning view of Ammos beach which is just across the road and only a handful of people there in March 😁. A friendly and helpful host. The facilities: a tastefully decorated bedroom, a small bathroom with plenty of hot water and a kitchenette offering a fridge, a coffee machine, crockery and cutlery. Ideal facilities for an idyllic breakfast on the balcony or takeaway in the evening if you prefer not to eat out all the time. The balcony offers morning sun. A nice wee bar called Butterfly just a few steps up the road for coffee or a beer watching the world go by. Just a 5 minute walk into the thick of the restaurants etc. There is also a town hall where I happened upon a local dance event, so if you want to get amongst a bit of Greek culture maybe check it out. All in all Karystos seems a lovely place to base yourself for some exploration of Evia.

Some personal preferences: A kettle would be a great addition to give the option of other hot drinks ( tea/infusions) + a smart TV for multiple language film/TV etc. A big plus for the solo travellers especially I think.
