Villa- Rest for the soul!

We had a wonderful stay at Rest for the Soul and would definitely return. The name honestly couldn’t be more appropriate – it is an incredibly peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Comfy, big beds, spacious rooms, lovely views, and a great space for easily up to 8 people, if not 10 if you used the sofa bed! The villa is in a rural location, so don’t expect to be in the middle of a busy town, but for us this was part of its charm. A town with 2–3 good supermarkets and a brilliant bakery is only around a 10-minute drive away. There is also an excellent takeaway - Pek Pek - around a 15-minute walk from the villa (or they deliver), serving freshly cooked stone-baked pizzas, meat tortillas and burgers at very reasonable prices. A few minutes further on is Restaurant Buljan, which we visited twice and would highly recommend – lovely grilled meats and fresh fish, incredibly good value and really friendly staff. One useful thing for visitors to know is that cash is still commonly used locally, and the bakery only accepts cash, so it is worth having some euros with you. The villa itself was incredible and probably the best we have stayed in for the amount of both indoor and outdoor space. The pool is huge and absolutely lovely, and the air conditioning throughout the property was fantastic – especially as temperatures reached around 38°C during our stay! There was also an excellent supply of towels, and we really appreciated having dishwasher and washing-machine tablets provided. The kitchen is generally very well equipped, although strangely there isn’t a kitchen bin despite there being plenty of unused cupboard space. We were also unsure which outdoor bins to use for general waste/recycling. We noticed bottle-return/recycling facilities at some supermarkets, so some information about the local recycling system would be really useful. Our main suggestion to the owners would be to provide a simple welcome/house guide.

Honestly? There’s nothing I can comment on as a negative about this property!
