Amazing Views

The views were exceptional. Decorated beautifully. Had everything we needed even down to tin foil

There is only really one bathroom. The bathroom adjoined to the bedroom in the ground floor is not a bathroom. It’s a very small room with a toilet and a sink on the top. Next to that is a washing machine

The views were nice

Not being told about the amount of steps to gain access to the property. Patio doors in bedroom were moving in the wind (whole frame)...Only stayed for 2 of our 4 day stay...booked into hotel nearby for last 2 days.

Loved every second of our fabulous choice of accommodation

The Boathouse is quirky with great views, Fresh Escapes were atrocious + owner James doesn't care!

We liked the quirkiness of The Boathouse and the views were amazing. The owners should be careful how they advertise it though and Fresh Escapes were terrible to us, not caring about problems we had and in fact laughing and saying that in 20 years they'd never had a similar complaint to ours and yet that should make no difference to our complaint, no difference at all, suggesting because no one else had complained about the same thing meant that our complaint wasn't justifiable. The owner said that he'd delete any bad reviews they got, he was very arrogant.

We booked The Boathouse for visiting family in Torquay + we took our son + his partner and their 9 month old daughter. The property sounded ideal as it was described as having 2 bathrooms, which is what we needed. However this isn't true, one of the 'bathrooms' is a tiny room with a sliding door off the downstairs bedroom + in it there's just a small toilet with a tiny wash basin behind it, which is only big enough to reach over and wash your hands and a washing machine. This isn't a bathroom as there's no shower or bath in it, its merely a toilet with a washing machine squeezed into it. We'd also requested a cot + before we arrived I'd also double checked that this had been noted + it was confirmed that it would be arranged for us. When we arrived there was no proper cot, just. We had arrived earlier in the day + as the weather was nice we went straight out. Our son arrived at 11pm + our granddaughter was asleep + the plan was to just put her to bed in the cot. At 11.04 pm I sent an email to one of the email addresses that had been contacting us to say that we didn't have a cot + we weren't impressed + we ended up having a very poor nights sleep as our grand daughter had to sleep in their bed, which wasn't a big bed. The following day I rang Fresh Escapes + the owner James answered. He didn't let me fully explain what had happened + the effect it had on us because he said that they 'don't normally have families stay in their properties' + it was my fault for not requesting a proper cot. He was rude + condescending, saying I was supposed to be on holiday + laughed off my complaint saying he'd never had a complaint about a missing cot. We'd never book through his company again.

House was amazing, loved the balcony and the amazing views was so pleased that such a nice place was also dog friendly allowing us to take our fur baby.

The only downfall to this property was having to carry all the luggage from the car park up th steps .

A lovely property in an elevated position giving great views across the bay.

A very comfortable and well equipped holiday property with most things that you could wish for. Excellent views across the Harbour area and beyond.

Nowhere on booking.com property description does it tell you about access up steep steps and ramps making this rather unsuitable for persons with mobility challenges, Please don't be mislead by the advert stating two bathrooms as there is only one plus a small WC with tiny handbasin on top of cistern which is located in downstairs bedroom behind sliding door.

Schönes Objekt - Verwaltung könnte besser werden

Lage schön. Etwas schwierig, wenn man große Koffer hat, denn der Weg bis zum Haus ist schmal, steil und lang.

Ein Wasserschaden, der im Bad war - führte zu modrigen Geruch. Unsere Anmerkung a die Hausverwaltung wurde ignoriert.

Bra sted, overhodet ikke egnet om du har vonde ben, eller har barn i vogn.

Utsikten var nydelig. Huset var stilig. Badet var romslig og fint; bra vanntrykk og plenty varmt vann til at alle kunne dusje. 2 toaletter når man reiser 6 sammen er veldig deilig og praktisk. Kjekt med parkering tilhørende huset, og smart med kodelås på port og dør.

Det er ikke spiseplass til 6 pers. verken ute eller inne. Med litt ordning og flytting rundt på møbler fikk vi til felles spisebord både ute og inne, men det ble provisorisk. Synes det er rart at dette ikke er ordnet når det er sengeplass til 6 voksne. Noe av det som er fint med ferie/en reise, er jo nettopp dette å sitte sammen, skravle og kose seg - gjerne med mat &drikke. Det er heller ikke komplett med glass ol til 6 pers., (bestikk, kris og tallerkner er ok) så om alle skal ha vin, må noen dele glass… 2 av sengene var ikke gode (de mindre rommene), den i det store rommet var bra. Generelt godt renhold (rent bad, rent kjøkkenområde), men bittelitt mer fokus på kriker og kroker, spindelvev og støv hadde vært fint. Området huset ligger i er slitent og du hører godt støy fra utelivet mede på havna.

Torquay, es hatte für unseren Geschmack nicht viel für Eltern mit kleinen Kindern zu bieten. Aber dafür kann die Unterkunft nichts.
