Ginger Chania City Center Apartment

le studio possède tous les équipements nécessaire y compris une machine à laver le linge. L logement est d'une propreté impeccable; Il est très bien situé à proximité de la mer et du centre ville.

We stayed in Ginger Chania apartment for two weeks from 18th July. The host’s management team are Select Properties who have an office on Daskalogianni just before Laganon Pasta restaurant which is manned by the lovely Maria and Panos. We were granted an early check in from 1pm which was really appreciated but we were delayed in Manchester so finally arrived at the apartment at 2.30pm. The bus from the airport takes 25 minutes and ends at the bus station which is a five minute walk behind the Main Street. We loved the apartment, 95% of it was perfect, powerful shower with two heads, comfy double bed, good storage, air conditioning and safe with a very small kitchenette which had a kettle, a two ring portable electric stove and a fridge. We had a bit of an issue on arrival with the safe as somebody had decided to take the instructions so we couldn’t use it. A quick call to the office and the wonderful Panos arrived ten minutes later and between us all we sorted it. You have to pressed the reset button on the inside of the door and then press ‘A’ then your 4 digit number then ‘A’ again then close the door and turn the dial anti clockwise. There was enough toilet roll and some washing up liquid although we brought some of our own. There was also a slimline washing machine in the bathroom tucked in next to the shower. There was a sliding door with a mesh screen which had an electric shutter which led to a terrace outside with a small table , 2 chairs and 4 big plant pots containing bushes. The terrace is enclosed by composite planks so you can see through to the outside.

1. There were no teaspoons, we used a dessert spoon to make our tea ( there’s a coffee machine on the shelf behind the door but we don’t drink coffee). 2. No chopping board, I love cooking but there was very little room to prepare food and we had to chop food on the small curved table in the main room, we got through this with no complaints but a chopping board would be useful. 3. The hairdryer in the bathroom didn’t work but we found a working one under the sink, the cleaner had not informed the office. 4. The washing machine was useless, it didn’t spin any of our clothes so we wrung them out by hand and left them dripping on the clothes rack on the terrace. 5. The plants were half dead, I watered all of them three times to save them, if the cleaner would water them it would be very nice. 6. There was 5 small hangers in the wardrobe, we asked the office if they could supply more, to be fair we got by and only mentioned a lot of these issues in our second week, Maria promised to supply the missing spoons and look at the hairdryer and hangers. Despite these issues we really liked the apartment but because of the lack of sun outside we found the inside very gloomy most of the time

Ayant choisi de ne pas prendre de voiture en location, la proximité avec les bus, et les supermarchés, la ville et le port mais aussi de la plage était fabuleuse. Nous avons apprécié également la gentillesse de notre hôte.

Quelques suggestions car nous avons tout aimé. Pour un long séjour un four à micro onde serait apprécié. dysfonctionnement du WiFi par moment
