Mochlos beach and charming seafront tavernas a 5-minute walk away, while a day trip to Agios Nikolaos and Sitia is an option as both are within an hour’s drive away. In most car’s it is electronic. To reset most of these models, you need to press the button until the reading flashes for some time and then becomes zero. Please take care driving these roads.   Step 1    After you have collected your car at Heraklion Airport, make your way from the Departure area to the traffic lights (at this crossroads the Terminal buildings should be behind you, or on your left). Follow this road and head under the bridge following signs for “Agios Nikolaos”. The road bends sharply round to the left and you join the main National Highway. Follow signs direction “Agios Nikolaos or “Ierapetra”. NB. You may meet some road works - just continue following the same signs as previously mentioned. As long as you follow the signs for “Agios Nikolaos” you will be fine. Continue along the highway to Agios Nikolaos.   Step 2    Continue on this road for some time (50 mins). You will eventually pass a  Shell/Peugeot/Toyota garage on your right and a bit further on, two further petrol stations one on each side of the road. You will reach a set of traffic lights, which are on the outskirts of Agios Nikolaos. Turn right at these traffic lights following the signs for Ierapetra.   Step 3           Follow this road for approximately 12kms and you will enter Istro(n) Village which has a BP petrol station on the right, and several cafes, shops and ATM. Exit Istro and follow the road signage for Sitia (Siteia). After 7kms you will come to the village of Pacheia Ammos, then Kavousi and head straight on for Mochlos.    Step 4Approximately 6 kms after Kavousi you will take a left hand turn onto the road that leads to (The Taverna Natural is on the left) Mochlos. You will follow that road for 4.8 kms. Passing a sign on the right for Sfaka and a collection of signs (Blue Sea is one) on the left, continue for 200klm Next to the Blue Sea Hotel there is a sign for YADES. On the left.
