Amazing pool and views of Puerto

Amazing pool area with nice bar and panoramic views of the sea. Nice comfortable room. Host woman was extremely helpful. Excellent English and we got ill and she was caring.

Not sure air con blew out cold air. Bit of a walk from main strip at night with a few barking dogs on route but you quickly get used to it. Worth it for the pool.

The cleaning is important and I had bad experiences here: towels very smelly so not washed properly, there was cockroachs that we found at night, also there were other insects like an scorpion very dangerous. The place is located in a difficult place to access with roads very difficult to access…

Our Wonderful Time at Villa Macarena

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Macarena. The location is perfect, peaceful and quiet, yet still just a hop away from all the action. The rooftop with the infinity pool is absolutely stunning and quickly became our favorite place to chill, watch the sunset or escape from the heat during the day. Shout out to the bartender on the rooftop who was available to serve you with a snack, a drink or just a nice chat. Starlink works perfeclty. The boutique-style design of the entire property gives it a really special atmosphere, the bed is super comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed. Thank you for creating such a wonderful place in la punta!

Great building and apartment with super helpful, English speaking staff! It was amazing that you can use the amenities before and after check in and check out.

It is a little walk to the center and beach over an unsealed road which can be dark at night, so make sure you have light.

Cool and stylish!

Very stylish, well maintained hotel with excellent service, beautiful rooftop, clean and cosy. I enjoyed so much my staying there! All my needs were satisfied and i can recommend staying here from all heart.

Great place to enjoy the calm and the sun

Especially the balcony and the pool were adorable!

It's a bit hidden in the forest and you have to go up to reach the place. But not a big deal if you are sportif!

The best hotel in Puerto Escondido!

I really liked the rooftop with the pools. I saw the best sunsets from there, and had a fantastic Yoga lesson there. The stuff was really nice and helpful! The room was beautiful and I loved the hammock in the balcony. The WiFi was very good, my boyfriend worked remotely from there and it went great.

The temperature of the water in the shower is set by a solar panel, so sometimes the water wasn't really hot, but since it is so hot in Puerto it didn't bother us. I still really recommend this hotel. The best value for money I had in mexico

Top shelf!

It was excellent. Clean rooms, nice view, extremely friendly and helpful staff and the views were outstanding. It's a 12 min walk on some dirt roads to get there but I did it multiple times per day and you could rent a scooter nearby if you want. I would definitely stay here again. The rooftop and pool were outstanding. Only thing is that it closes at 7pm but we had it to ourselves most of the time

We had a great stay!

Spacious apartment with great amenities. The jacuzzi was a nice touch and the rooftop pool and bar were perfect for relaxing with great views.

The bathroom was quite small compared to the rest of the apartment. Also, the pool area only accepted cash, which wasn’t very convenient.

Beautiful rooftop, comfortable rooms - beware scorpions!

The rooftop pool was the highlight! The room was comfortable, air-conditioning, fans and a fully equipped kitchenette. The staff were very attentive and helpful, sharing recommendations for restaurants and services in the area.

Reminder to take care of your things, we accidentally left sunglasses by the pool and they weren’t handed in. And watch out for scorpions! I was stung while in the bathroom of our room

Nothing special because everything was really good! The only thing is the location. It's ok and perfectly fine to get there but it's on an unpaved road and not so close to the beach and restaurant area. But you get there in 2 minutes by car.

Great location, lovely hotel, basic services

Great location, clean rooms and great swimming pool

Villa Macarena is very nice, with a lovely swimming pool overseeing the seafront. The staff is lovely but the overall service is very basic - lots of rules to follow (incl. very late check in at 4pm and early check out at 11am compared to usual hotels and room cleaning only every 3 days…). The swimming pool has a café/restaurant with very nice food and drinks, but be aware that it’s cash only (which was only communicated to us upon arrival). Because of lots of power shortages and lack of banks in Punta, it’s very hard to find ATMs and therefore would have appreciated the cash only heads up.

I will definitely stay here again

Everyone from the staff is very attentive, making sure our stay was good, chef is amazing his attitude always positive, best drinks and food specially the chilaquiles. They clean every other day, they send you a message first to make sure you want the room to actually be clean, if you ask they will provide you with every contact you need to survive in puerto escondido. The area is pretty safe you have your own codes for the main entrance door and your room of course. I will definitely comeback. Oooh you can see the sunset from the pool area!

The pool area and bar/ chef close at 7 pm is definitely too early if zicatela close at 23:00 I believe they should close at the same time. That’s the only thing I dislike about.

Fantastic Villa in Puerto Escondido!

Brand new villa with great design in a fantastic location just off the busy street of La Punta. The hosts Marion and Eli are lovely and help you out with everything you need. The rooftop with pool is amazing and offers the best views over Puerto Escondido and the sea. Great place to work from! Would definitely stay again!

As it is very hot in PE, it would be great if all rooms had A/C.

Die Lage war super, die Zimmer waren großartig und alles war sauber und ordentlich. Das Personal war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das ganze Appartement war eher offen gestaltet, was uns extrem gut gefallen hat. Es hatte einen sehr schönen Stil. Auch der rooftop Bereich war nett.

Voldeed niet aan onze verwachtingen

Mooi appartement, fijn zwembad, bar gaat pas om 11 uur open, dus je kunt er niet echt ontbijten. Wel prima en lekker aanbod van eten en drinken. Leuk en vriendelijk personeel bij de bar.

-de communicatie rondom onder andere inchecken en nieuwe badlakens voor zwembad (nooit gekregen) verliep wat moeizaam, we hebben het hele verblijf niemand gezien, allen per Whatsapp contact (wel vriendelijk, maar enorm onpersoonlijk) -in principe wordt er tussentijds niet schoongemaakt, dus ook niet je vuile prullenbak naast toilet geleegd -wij vonden het bed echt het slechtste van onze hele reis door mexico, er was helaas geen oplossing voor, want geen extra topper beschikbaar of iets dergelijks, wel kregen we hiervoor extra beddengoed, maar dit lostte niets op - de weg naar de locatie is echt verschrikkelijk, wij begrijpen niet dat andere reviews vinden dat je veilig naar centrum kunt lopen, want het ligt echt heel donker en afgelegen. Met de auto is de weg heel uitdagend doordat er nergens asfalt ligt en er enorme gaten in de weg zitten. Ook de eigen parkeerplaats is onverzorgd.

Zwembad, rooftop, hangmat op de kamer, groot bed, makkelijk met code binnen te gaan

Er had naast kookbenodigdheden zoals potten en bestek ook olie en zout/peper aanwezig kunnen zijn. De weg buiten ligt vol brokstukken dus dat was soms wel lastig. Ook wilden ze op de rooftop geen extra handdoeken regelen, dat moest dan via Whatsapp aangevraagd worden wat ik ook een beetje vreemd vond. Douche straal was niet zo goed.

De entrada la ubicación es pésima, es cierto, no estas lejos de la calle principal pero para llegar si o si necesitas moto o aventarte unas caminatas con subidas pesadas, terracería y mejor no te cuento si llueve, se hace unos charcos y lodo horribles!! Las almohadas pff horribles, más flacas y usadas, nos logramos acomodar con los cojines decorativos, el 1er día pedí toallas para la alberca y me contestaron hasta el día siguiente, olvídate de un baño relajante porque no hay agua caliente, de pronto si de pronto no, todo muy austero y mal iluminado, no hay más que un espejo pequeño en el baño y olvídate de más, la verdad es que yo no recomiendo en lo más mínimo el lugar, hay opciones con mejor ubicación y mejor calidad y costo.

Tutto!! Bella. Ottima piscina sul tetto. Bel panorama. Bella accoglienza. Acqua in tutti i piani per gli ospiti. Bella struttura locale! Camera bella!

Un po’ buio l’appartamento. Ci guadagnerebbe con qualche parte bianca, non tutte ma quella a mattone per esempio. Tutto è fatto con materiali naturali ma si sente il bisogno di un po’ più di luce. D’inverno verso la sera diventa difficile anche vedere le proprie cose. La doccia calda solare in inverno rimane insufficiente. Io ho abbondanti capelli e diventa difficile lavarli con poca acqua calda. Siamo stati una notte e queste cose si potevano ovviare. Secondo me in un soggiorno più lungo diventa una scomodità. Servirebbe un tavolino all’ingresso è molto vuoto e rimane uno spazio sprecato.
