Quirky Homely Just perfect

Perfect location for both the mountains and the beaches. Amazing views from the back of the house. Walking distance to a small but well-stocked supermarket and a few good takeaways and a short drive to a wild swimming spot. Really friendly hosts who gave us some great local tips and even some fresh chicken eggs! The house itself was comfortable and well-equipped. As per previous reviews the kitchen is small, but has everything you need with plenty of crockery, pots and pans, dishwasher and washing machine. The living room and dining room are comfortable, as are the bedrooms. One of the highlights has to be the beautiful garden. We visited during the recent heatwave and it was a perfect place to sit.

Be aware that the 4th bedroom is accessed by walking through the 3rd bedroom, so best for a family or people who don't mind sharing. Also the 3rd toilet is in a small cupboard with a stable-style door, so there are 2 proper bathrooms plus a toilet. The garden is accessed from a steep spiral staircase - not a problem for us, though the dog took a little getting used to it! Just beware if you have any mobility issues.

It was a very comfortable and beautiful home away from home. Loved the games and books, the open fire, the views of the mountains, the local walks - I could go on all day!

Kitchen was a tad small but that just meant I could leave hubby to it!

Heating was controlled by owner and house was very cold on top floor. Cooker and fridge didn't work well Using dishwasher blocks entrance to kitchen. Its not a kitchen for 7 people. We had noticed it was small before going but the oven doesn't work well making it hard work to feed everyone and fridge froze the food Beautiful house, just needs some tweaks to make it more suitable for groups and warmer The owners could not have been more helpful but we would have liked the heat to come on in the morning and at 5am the day we were leaving as requested. It's difficult to have to ask for heat to come on when returning from a wet track and not knowing if will. Top rooms were perishing through the nights and to get up in the morning, and this was mid April (although we had thunderstorms). Beds were comfy.
