Willow Cottage

Very clean and presentable. Fire was on for our arrival Stayed 2 nights and would highly recommend. Bruce was so lovely and a kind man.

Nothing was perfect

Home was beautiful and well appointed. The bonus breakfast items was a lovely thought and made our mornings easy. Well furnished, very clean and a lovely comfortable and cosy space in a beautiful location not far from town.

We had to pay extra for firewood, but could not get the fire going despite great effort. Not enough paper to use as fire starter and no firestarters provided or fire tools. A lot of smoke came out of the fire through the closed door initially and at that point we decided it was unsafe to use. The only other negative was the strong rising damp mildew smell which I'm sure is common in a damp wooded environment and with earth covering half the wall of the back of the house. We did get used to it after a while and the house did have a lovely scent to try and mask it.
