Trikoupis Villa

A beautiful house in the forested hills in the north part of Zakynthos. We absolutely loved it here and were very happy that we picked this particular house and this particular location on Zakynthos. - The whole house is yours, closest neighboring houses are in 100s of meters from you, separated by forest. Road to the house is easy. Plenty of backyard with various furniture (tables, chairs, hammocks) and even a basketball ring. - Fantastic view at the sea. Peacocks roaming around (maybe ran away from the Askos park nearby). - Superb location. We thought this area is the best location on the island - far from crowds of the Laganas area, yet you have all the good things nearby. 10 minutes to Agios Nikolaos where you can rent a boat to go to Blue Caves, Navagio et al, launch a paddleboard / kayak, swim on the couple of small but very clean and nice beaches with very few people. 20 minutes to Navagio view point and cute village of Volimes, 20 minutes to Blue Caves stairs and Fillipoi beach (a lovely place to swim on the west coast accessible by car). 10-15 minutes to bunch of other coves and beaches on the east side (Makris Gialos etc). Spar and couple more decent small stores are within 10-15 minutes, though we did major grocery shopping in AB Vassilopoulos by Zakynthos town. Plenty of tavernas within 5-20 minutes. - The house itself is great. Nicely decorated. Cool layout (master bedroom and bathroom on the 2nd floor, two bedrooms, one more bathroom, large living room and kitchen on the first floor). AC in every bedroom and living room. Has all the supplies and appliances (e.g. dishwasher) for a lovely stay. Note that the stairs to the 2nd floor are somewhat steep and and may be hard for older people / very small kids (though 60+ yrs old and 7 yrs old in our party had no problems with them). - The check in and check out are extremely smooth with WhatsApp instructions from the host.

A minor thing: it would be good to add one more stainless steel pan, one or two medium size stainless steel pots, a ceramic baking pan. There was one nonstick pan and one or two steel pots when we were staying here - ok for cooking, but it would make things easier for the parties who cook often if there'd be more pots / pans.

Nous avons beaucoup aimé l'emplacement calme et merveilleux avec une vue sur la mer exceptionnelle. La maison était très propre et bien rangée. Rien ne manquait. L'hôte a toujours été réactif et prévenant. Merci à lui. Je recommande ce logement pour des vacances tranquilles loin du tumulte de la ville.

Quelques coupures du réseau internet, Wi-Fi instable.

Ruhige Lage und sehr schöne Unterkunft, auch draussen kann man gut verweilen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend, haben Tipps gegeben und sogar eine Kleinigkeit zum Essen in den Kühlschrank gelegt. Vielen Dank nochmals an dieser Stelle! Mit einem Mietauto ist es nicht weit für an den Stand oder zu diversen schönen Plätzen auf der Insel.

Die Zufahrt zur Villa ist etwas holperig und nicht für jedes Mietauto geeignet.

La villa è ben tenuta, ordinata e pulita benissimo, L'host è stato davvero delizioso ha avuto tante gentilezze per noi. Ci ha lasciato anche cose da mangiare di benvenuto. La casa è allestita per qualunque esigenza, gli elettrodomestici tutti funzionanti e utili sopratutto per le vacanze lunghe. L'host ci ha dato anche delle piacevoli indicazioni senza essere mai invadente.

Metterei un Bbq per poter fare una brace e aggiungerei una piscina o una vasca idromassaggio esterno.
