Malates is a peaceful haven. Really wonderfully planned out seating area, and well planned out and calm breakfast area. ALL employees we encountered were so welcoming, and genuine - this makes a big difference, for us. Room had a lovely feel, with very comfortable bedding and pillows. Just one negative for us was the lack of closable wardrobe and drawers - there were six hangers in total in an open recess against one wall and a low level shelf along the side of the wall both sides of the bed. Our beautiful room couldn’t help but look messy, until we decided to put almost all of our clothes in our suitcase. There wasn’t even room to put our case out of sight under the bed. That said, the friendliness and welcoming nature of the staff, the calming guest resting area with its cool and calm music, and the lovely views across the river would mean this hotel would definitely be on our list to visit, on our next trip to Galicia.
