Welcome to the Schlosshotel Bergzaberner Hof****
Once upon a time, illustrious guests of the Bergzabern ruling dynasty resided here; the European nobility gathered at the court of Count Palatine Walram and his descendants, trans-European marriage plans were forged here within the prevailing political alliances of the time, and as early as the mid-18th century, distinguished guests enjoyed a special atmosphere of hospitality in the midst of a rolling wine-growing landscape at what was then known as the “Ritterhaus.”
For nearly 200 years, the former “coach house” of Bergzabern Castle lay dormant, housing a succession of restaurants. Now carefully renovated in accordance with historic preservation guidelines and using authentic building materials from the region, this beautiful historic estate at the entrance to Bad Bergzabern’s old town is being restored to its former glory.
Under the name “Schlosshotel Bergzaberner Hof,” this former court of noble hospitality once again offers an exquisite, relaxing atmosphere that inspires and delights all the senses at once—an elegant gem on the Southern Wine Route.
