The place was clean and comfortable
The absolute restriction of checking after 1600 when cycling the Velodyssee made it very difficult aa it was not negotiable. We would have preferred to check in earlier and requested that with our booking but was given a firm NO. (Cleaning). This together with the “you must be out by 1000” the next day and take your glass recirculating and put your rubbish out when you go, gave us a sense that we were a nuisance and not really welcome other than for cash. There were other unfriendly statements like “ don’t take the towels with you when you leave”, really, do you have to say that? as fr as the cleaning is concerned, it doesn’t take from 1000 to 1600 to clean a property so why the hard limits. Our current host moved the arrival time forward to 1400 due to the weather - that’s hospitality and our review will reflect the privilege. So all up it was the unwelcoming attitude that spoilt the stay.
