The view and location

Bathrooms were clean, but the interior of the home is tired and the lounge was dirty and the kitchen cupboards all need a wipe out and tidy up not enough knives forks ect , also no normal tv and no wifi to watch it was annoying

Beautiful views

The property was in a lovely quiet location. Very large comfortable house with a great view even with the small veranda and the cold windy weather we encountered. Would comfortably suit a large group although we only had 5 in the end. The agent kindly arranged for us to pick up the keys at Goolwa in a lock box rather than travel further. Communication between the agent and myself was very promptly answered by telephone or messaging. The heating was excellent because it was cold weather, we did not try the cooling or the kyacks. Others loved the front yard fishing, even though it was only carp, so take your rods. The facilities were all we needed for a short break but would also be very suitable for a long break.

The advertised property conditions through Booking.com were not very accurate, so ask your questions prior to booking. This house is actually booked through another agent , whose conditions override Booking.com. You do not find this out until after booking. There is a payment plan different to the one advertised and pets are negotiable, although we did not have a pet stay in the end. The agent is known to me via another rental so I was not all that concerned but it still should have been stated in Booking.com. Still, I refused to send a photo of my license or passport, this was acceptable, and I was not happy that my credit card details were passed to another party without being forewarned. I am not trying to put anyone off this house, it was a great stay handled by a great agent. Just ask your questions first.

The backyard view is stunning, 2 bathrooms are helpful and having access to kayaks really added to the holiday fun for both kids & adults.

The fridge is too small for 8 or more people to be staying at the property, not to mention dirty. Used sparklers & broken glass were left outside, a swab & rubbish was left on the carpet of the main bedroom (& along with the fridge mess should have been obvious to any cleaners). This is a no frills property-ok to bring a small dog or 2 to but there's only a very small enclosed side area (with overgrown grass during our stay) for dogs to use for their business.
