Indigo is a quiet oasis away from the bustle, noise, crowds and traffic of Guangzhou. This is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on your perspective. Public transport options are a bit of a hike away, fine if you Didi but not so otherwise. There is nothing just "outside the door". Nice decor in a sort of modern jazz/art deco vibe. The room was spacious but there was a weird elevated "stage area" with a workout mat that took up a lot of space; not our thing.

We checked-in late on our first day, unfortunately the room that was allocated must have had a water leak and it smelled very dank and musty. The staff must have known because there was a dehumidifier and scent machine in the room. We complained the next morning and to their credit we were moved to an odour-free room. Just would have been nice not to have needed to complain. The rooftop bar (with great views over the Pearl River and Canton Tower) has a minimum charge of RMB300 per person; which by Chinese standards is a small fortune.

Un véritable coup de cœur. Les chambres sont décorées dans un magnifique style chinois, à la fois élégant et apaisant. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent, avec un large choix de qualité et un service remarquable. L'hôtel propose même de vieilles voitures électriques remises au goût du jour pour accompagner les clients jusqu'au métro — une attention originale et très agréable. Le rooftop est superbe, avec une vue exceptionnelle sur la Canton Tower. C'est un véritable îlot de calme et de tranquillité en plein centre de Canton, et le personnel est aussi agréable que professionnel.

Rien à signaler, le séjour a été parfait du début à la fin.
