Staff very friendly and helpful

The lady who works Mondays that checked me in (sorry i forgot your name) was very friendly and welcoming, even though she hadnt been told of my arrival she went above and beyond to make me welcome and sort my room. The location was very convenient as i was delivering to sellafield the next day and the White Mare is only 10 mins away. Although they do not serve food on a monday (when i was there) it wasnt a problem as i found this out before arriving and got something to eat on the way in Whitehaven. The bar was open so i was able to have a couple of drinks before bed and evn ended up being welcomed by the friendly locals and playing dominoes with them. I would recommened as its set in a nice quiet convenient village and the staff / locals couldnt be friendlier ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Not alot, phone signal (O2) wasnt great and only workied in a couple of spots.

Delighful location in tiny village nice and quiet. Our room was excellent altough a couple of things needed attention. We didn't use the bar althoughit looked very homely. Tea and coff facilites were plentiful, the bed was clean

The walk form the bar through an archway to our room was dreadful with rubbish bins under the arch as well as all manner of other detritus such as an old fridge and various pieces of scrap metal, it looked like a tip, and despereately needs a lot of work to tidy the area up. In the room whilst very spacious and reasonably cleanand a king-size bed nice and clean, howevre there was no shelf in the bathroom put place one's items the only hook was on the door and almost falling off. The toilet cistern button was damaged and woudln't always turn off to stop the flow of water. There was no mirror in the bedroom, only one in the bathroom. We will certainly stay again but will hope the above have all been rectified when we do.

The rooms were ok

The overall building needs a complete revamp looking very tired and run down. Only one member of staff working in bar and restaurant and she was very busy
