We were super impressed by the effort of the owner who transformed soviet-era apartment into something stylish and modern. The building itself and the stairways tell the story - the outside of the building is typical apartment building of the 50s, the stairways are broken and you can see some totally ugly entrances to the apartments mixed with the very well kept entrance doors. The owner Didzis put a lot of effort and applied good taste to remake this loft into a comfortable place where up to 4 people can spend a night. Accommodations in Kolka are limited, we felt like we snatched a better option.

the building itself, although it had the grassy patch by the entrance, the stairway was not nice at all. Also, the drinking water we had to bring with us. What comes out of the water tap is not drinkable.

very bad quality of the tap water, very smelly tiny bathroom and very tiny wash bin - nearly impossible to wash properly old Soviet building, staircase like in hooror movie no beachfront as stated
