Star Cottage

Convenient location as was very close to waitrose. Reasonably priced for a 2 bedroom cottage. One of the bedrooms was a decent size and had enough space to store luggage and hang clothes. Beds really comfy and duvet covers smelt clean and very soft. Comfortable stay for a few nights.

Booking.com states on street parking but there are actually double yellow lines outside and we struggled to park particularly close to property, had to go down another road. Bowls, plates and cutlery were dirty and crumbs visibly left on the kitchen worktops. Front bedroom quite noisy with window open in the summer due to a pub very nearby. Other bedroom pretty small not a lot of space to move around the bed. Some of the paint work needs a bit of love. Pictures need updating as there is no bath in the bathroom, it’s a shower. Layout of bedroom two is also different. Also no bin bags in any of the bins apart from kitchen. Lounge sofa bit sad looking, stain in the middle and no cushions.

Le logement est bien pensé et peu être agréable. Après nettoyage le séjour a pu être agréable.

Malheureusement logement mal entretenu et sale en général. Vaisselle sale pas assez équipé pour 4 personnes, casseroles et poêle hors d’usage.

We enjoyed our stay at Star Cottage. The cottage was cosy, clean and well equipped with easy access to what Eastbourne has to offer with regular bus services nearby. Parking was very easy and free, Waitrose is on the doorstep as well as some nice pubs. The owners have succeeded in making the cottage very homely.

The 2nd bedroom is quite small. The weather was warm during our stay so we made use of the raised patio. A little more could be made of this area i.e. replacing the broken chairs etc. Not that we needed it as we like showers but there is no roll-top bath.

The owners of the house quickly solved the problems in the house, in my case I didn't know how to install the heater, they sent someone and everything was fine.

There is no washing machine this Is problem for I want stay long.
