Apartment Puerto Simona by Interhome

We had a very enjoyable stay. We arrived late in the evening and were a bit concerned about collecting the keys, but that proved to be a simple process by way of an accessible key safe at the Interhome office, checkout was easy, too. Location was superb, overlooking the marina and in easy reach of the beach, restaurants and shops. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. We’re a bit fussy about bed comfort but it was extremely comfortable so no problem there, other than it would have been good to have extra pillows and the option of warmer bedding. We liked the electric shutters blinds, it helped keep the place cool. It was stylishly decorated with modern furniture and appliances. We felt very at home as soon as we arrived.

There really wasn’t anything major, just a few things that were just a little annoying. No hairdryer, although it was listed as having one. The cutlery draw contained 6 forks, 6 spoons but only 1 knife ( apart from a few flimsy steak knives) strange! It would have been helpful to have instructions for the induction hob, microwave and washing machine in English, we were able to eventually work the appliances but it was a bit of a pain. Finally, the air-conditioning. It was very efficient when we finally got it working but unfortunately the remote control had dead batteries and had to wait until the next day to buy replacements. We were instructed as a matter of importance before we arrived that we would have to empty the air-conditioning overflow bucket, which we did without too much of a problem but it filled up very quickly and we had to keep checking it wasn’t overflowing. We have never experienced anything like this before, not sure why the unit wasn’t installed correctly. It might sound as though we were finding lots of negatives but it was relatively minor and we would have happily given the apartment a score of 10 if we hadn’t experienced those things. It didn’t spoil our stay.
