Its a good spot in the center next to Longstreet so its pretty accessible.
I booked the room, but the host arrived more than an hour later than announced. My messages on WhatsApp were not answered, and the reception desk could not help either, as the apartments are privately rented.
I then wanted to leave my luggage at the reception, but this was not possible because they do not have lockers or any kind of luggage storage. As a result, I had to go back out onto the street with all my luggage and wait in a café for a response from the host.
When the host finally arrived, I was given the wrong apartment. I noticed this myself because there was still luggage from other guests inside. I then had to go through the entire process again.
Considering the relatively high price, this level of service is not acceptable. I asked for a discount, but only received a meaningless apology. After all of this, I unfortunately did not feel very safe in the apartment.

Loved our stay everything was great, great location as we mainly wanted to tour Cape Town. next to long street where everything is as well as very close to the Red Bus office with made it easier to connect with Hop ons&off.
My son loved the pool, it’s gorgeous I loved the open area while watching him swim.
The wifi was so good , amazing as my son brought ps5

The man at the Reception was very rude from the beginning, we just learnt to avoid him through the stay

On a positive note, the location is excellent (central, safe, and close to shops and restaurants). The apartment offers a fantastic view of Table Mountain, and the rooftop pool, although small and not heated, adds charm to the building.
Our stay at The Tokyo Luxury Apartments — unit 1205 — was marked by unresolved issues and misplaced priorities. The apartment was not properly cleaned, with dust and grease stains on the furniture, hair on the bathroom floor, and the carpets had clearly not been vacuumed. The extractor fan was broken, and the toaster — part of the listed amenities — was removed without notice and never replaced, despite repeated requests. A replacement of the toaster was only offered on the eve of our departure.
Note that I’m only citing the issues that remained unresolved. We noticed many other faults in the apartment. And throughout our stay we had to repeatedly authorize the entry of maintenance staff, which added to the discomfort and disrupted our privacy.
The only issue that received genuine attention was the disappearance of a small personal item (a spring-style phone holder). While management offered to initiate a formal investigation, I had no interest in filing a police report over a minor item during an already stressful holiday. Their priorities felt misaligned.
We also faced unexpected charges, including a R1000 security deposit demanded the day before arrival as a condition to checking-in, and a check-out time of 10:00 AM only communicated at check-in. Despite frequent communication, most issues remained unresolved.
We came seeking rest and renewal, but left disheartened. I would not recommend this property to travelers who value comfort, transparency, or care.

The Staff at the property at the welcome desk or reception, they were very good and very helpful at all times, On my arrival they realized that I have been there for sometimes and they did everything to make sure that the person having the key eventually comes, for the duration of my stay they were helpful. The apartment was beautiful and with almost everything one can need in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.
The fact that I was chaged extra R900 and something for cleaning but no one ever came to clean, why must I pay cleaning money separate because it is supposed to be included in the price? the next thing I was charged a R1000 key deposit and only realized that a day before when I receive the message that was telling me that I will not be able to get in if the key deposit is not payed, I was told about the breakfast grocery options which I really liked and paid the money but later same day was told they did not receive the money though I got the confirmation from them that they received it, and the fact that they take up to 14 days to pay back the key deposit. The main thing that has rained my stay is the fact that I was there from the 4th till 9th October without internet, I was told it will be fixed but it never happen, imagine that I count use the TV or even my laptop and the duration of my stay I plan to be relaxing and working indoor!!!

The checking in method. I suggest caution should be included while booking or better still have the receptionist or someone to take the payment immediately you get to the apartment I had to put my luggage in the waiting area u until I received a reply that a refundable caution fee needs to be paid, my card was not working at first that was really stressful took me over 6 hours to get checked in cause of refundable caution, and wifi did not work all through, a temporary wifi was dropped without my notice on the second day, wifi was fixed when I was checking out, this are stuffs to check before leasing

They were building across the road so couldn’t sleep and next day noise was worse could do work calls.

The coffee place downstairs was convenient. The apartments are quite tiny and we couldn’t open the curtains because there was no lace curtain so we were in constant darkness and had to keep the lights on
Location wasn’t great. I think the apartments are used per hour also. Thin walls… our first night was the guy next door arguing with prostitutes over payment and then they had a little party 🙄

Eu gostei de todo o conjunto, hospitalidade, organização conforto e comodidade. Outro aspecto que amamos foi a localização com acesso rapido a varios pontos da cidade. Foi maravilhoso.
Da comunicação com o senhorio. A demora no feedback e o facto de termos sido incomodados para sair porque aparentemente estamos em um quarto errado, sendo que era o quarto que haviamos reservado.

Déjà,j’ai été déçue parce quand j’ai réservé dans booking ,je pouvais pas deviner que l’appartement était privé géré par une agence,mon hôte n’était pas sur place lors de mon arrivée et j’ai dû poirroter avant d’avoir accès à ma chambre . Enock n’a pas été professionnel,il a pris du temps pour nous installer,la chambre n’était prête qua 16h,ensuite il n’était pas mentionné que le ménage n’était pas compris dans le prix payé.on a payé trop cher pour le service de l’appartement.un peu déçue quand même
