APARTMA MARUŠA

Apartamento muy amplio en la zona del lago Bled (posibilidad de ir andando al lago en un paseo de 25-30 minutos). La anfitriona muy simpática y haciéndose entender. Es un bajo adosado a la vivienda de los propietarios con un porche que da a un jardín super agradable.

El sofá cama era incómodo. La decoración es un poco antigua. Entraba mucha luz por la mañana a través de las cortinas.

Friendly host, immaculately clean, well equipped apartment in quiet setting. Fan supplied to move the air around a bit. Storage provided for bikes and the ability to charge them.

Sofa bed a bit hard.

Steep hill walk down into centre, but just took it steadily.

The hosts were outstanding and the location was great. The apartment was very clean and roomy. We were picked up at the train station without any extra charge and the hosts gave us lots of tips about where to eat, how to get to the airport, etc. They were also very responsive when we asked if they could buy a fan because the apartment was so hot. They showed up with a brand new one the next day. The apartment is very conveniently located about 50 yards from a small grocery store where you can get everything we needed.

The house was uncomfortably hot, and when we showed up, there was no fan to even slightly mitigate the heat. We asked if they could buy one, and they did the next day, but it was still uncomfortable. The entire time we were there, especially at night, because there was no way to cool the house down, unless you left the windows open, but there are no screens on the windows, so the bees and other bugs could come in the house. The towels and sheets were also washed with a very strong, smelling detergent or fabrics softener that made the entire house smell of chemical fragrance. We recommended to the hosts that they use fragrance-free cleaners in the future, but it was too late for us and strong enough to make my wife sick for three out of the four days we were there. Also, for the price of this place, we definitely expected to have a way to wash our clothes, but there is no washing machine, so we needed to go to the public laundromat down the street. There was one small sponge to clean the dishes with, but no rags to wipe the table or counter, and no paper towels, and for the price we paid, we expected to have these kinds of very basic amenities which are standard with every other place we’ve ever stayed.
