The Green Door H3

I loved that the property was a traditional timber house in a historic area. It was not too far to walk from the main train station. It was a bit hilly but that is what you would expect. It was quiet and there was also a lovely view from the window. Close to all the main sites in the town.

It's on the top floor but this was really not much of a problems as we did not have lots of baggage. If you have big suitcases it may be a little bit of a challenge.

It was very easy to check in and the host Arianna, allowed for early check in. Since its summer, entire apartment is super bright as there is no light blocking curtains in the living hall and bedroom, though Arianna was very fast to act on comments and help fit a block out curtain at the bedroom and repair some minor issues at the apartment during my short stay. The apartment is located at the old Stavanger side and lined with cobblestone road; which gives it a nice home stay feel, home away from home concept.

Sound proofing is bad, and was woken up mid morning by the sounds made by my neighbour at the unit below. The unit came with dishwasher, but the dishwasher did not clean dishes well and was leaking (only realised when I was leaving). I stayed during early summer (1st week to 2nd week Jun) and temperature was between 8 degC to 18 degC, however; the heating in the unit failed to provide proper heating at this temperature, and no heater is present at the main bedroom (heaters are located at the living hall & smaller bedroom only); from conversations with others; seems like many Scandinavian homes are built this way except for newer ones. Shower at this unit (H3) has a sloping roof, any anyone taller than 5ft7 might find it troublesome to shower correctly.

Flott beliggenhet i en rolig gate som var veldig koselig med nesten ingen trafikk. God plass i leiligheten og den hadde veldig gode senger, med koselig interiør i stuen. Utleier var rask og hjelpsom ved kommunikasjon.

Trappen var utrolig bratt og smal og man må gå opp å låse opp døren før man tar med koffertene. Døren slår ut og det er ingen trappeavsats der. Brannvarslerne var tatt ned og toalettsetet var løst. Det var ikke blendings gardiner på begge vinduene på det ene soverommet. Leiligheten var nok priset litt høyt i forbindelse med Stavanger Maraton.
