The extra charge for linens and cleaning was an unpleasant surprise for me on Booking.com. I wasn't expecting that at all. I cleaned the space myself after finalizing the purchase. Regarding linens, we weren't (yet) asked for extra money. The linens provided were insufficient (one sheet per bed, not two!!!). I didn't complain due to lack of time. The gate remote provided didn't open the correct gate. I also never complained about this due to lack of time, but I should have. The space where the bunk beds are located (the bathroom hallway) is very small and becomes uncomfortable at night when it's hot. Going to the bathroom for those sleeping in the common room naturally disturbs the rest of those sleeping in the bunk beds. The building is old and lacks the refinement I'm used to. Compared to the space in Antibes (which I booked through Airbnb), this accommodation in Cavalaire was far inferior for only slightly less per night. One additional note: the prices on the French Riviera are disproportionate to what you actually get in return, and worse still, the journeys (by car) to and within this area become a real ordeal (highways and other roads with an average speed of 30 km/h and coastal areas an hour away from the highway!!!). We came to explore and snorkel. The color of the sea is beautiful, but the beaches and the underwater world are not worth the effort of the trip.
