Fantastic location, fair parking space. Cosy small perfect chocolate box cottage.

A constant damp smell down stairs, all materials ,blankets , couch etc always had a cold damp touch and smell to them. A parasol with the garden furniture could have been handy along with a fan, our stay was during the 35 degree heatwave unfortunately . Still a perfect stay however.

Several aspects of our stay were disappointing. When I called the host for the Wi-Fi password, I received no response. I later found the password in a book inside the house, but the lack of any reply was worrying — if the issue had been more serious, there would have been no support. The house was not clean: the kitchen cupboards smelled moldy, dishes were dirty, rugs had not been cleaned, and there were spider webs in several areas. The sofa blanket also had a strong unpleasant odor. Although firewood wasn't listed as included, it would have been a nice gesture to have a small amount — we bought some and left it there for future guests. We knew towels weren’t provided, but a basic hand towel in the bathroom and tablecloth /kitchen towel, would have made a difference. The house has potential, and the location is beautiful, but the lack of cleanliness and host support made the experience frustrating. I hope the host takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements.
