O anúncio dizia que não se podia fumar e o quando chegámos cheirava imenso a tabaco no apartamento. Além de que durante a estadia tivemos a sensação que alguém esteve no apartamento na nossa ausência, pois os estores estavam abertos quando os tínhamos deixados fechados devido ao calor.

Communication with the staff was quick, easy and very friendly. They explained straight away how we could collect the key, and the whole check-in process was very simple. The location is also quite good, close to the beach and the main amenities in Portimão. Another positive point is that we didn't hear any noise from the neighbours during our stay.

The apartment needs considerably more attention to reach what I would consider a good standard for a holiday rental. The lack of shutters or blinds in the bedroom is, in my opinion, unacceptable. The building has them, but they are broken in the bedroom for this unit and no one bothered to fix it. We actually had to buy car windscreen sunshades and attach them to the windows to stop the room from getting too hot and to block the sunlight in the morning. There is also only one small fan for the entire apartment, which is clearly not enough during summer in the Algarve. The addition of a coffee machine, which apparently wasn't there before, was a nice improvement, but there weren't even any small coffee cups to use with it. The non-stick pans provided are completely damaged and there isn't even a simple bottle opener, which is really the bare minimum. The bathroom door handle is broken, so the bathroom door cannot be properly closed. There is no Smart TV, just a basic television with an indoor antenna and only the public TV channels available. There is also no dishwasher and no washing machine. The internet setup is another disappointing point. It isn't a proper fixed internet connection, but a small 4G box powered via a USB cable connected to the television. When the television is switched off, the box loses power and eventually switches off or runs out of battery. And when functioning, the connection is very very weak. The floor tiles in the living room are starting to come loose from the floor, which you can easily feel when walking over them. Overall, despite the good location, the quiet surroundings and the friendliness of the staff managing the property, there are simply too many issues and missing basics for a good holiday apartment
