I booked through Agoda for $103.77CAD non-refundable. I got the confirmation email. I arrived at the hotel, and they tell me I was supposed to get another email with the unit number and access code. After 2.5 hours waiting on Agoda customer service, I was given a phone number, which I got connected to ardvark. They said Agoda didn’t provide my contact information, so they never sent the prebooking. In there, I had to take pictures of my drivers license, my credit card, and a selfie. Then I had to pay a $200usd deposit, to be refunded after checkout. Then I had to pay a mandatory, non-refundable $99usd cleaning fee. That wasn’t stated anywhere when I booked through Agoda. Advark told me that to deal with Agoda to have the $99usd refunded to me. I would never have booked if I had known about the cleaning fee, as it’s more than the booking itself! The resort looks lovely, and the front desk staff were great! They couldn’t help cause it was all third party issues. I will NEVER use Agoda again. I will NEVER stay at one of the private condos at this facility again. This wasted 2.5 hours of my only day in town. It caused extra stress in that I thought I wouldn’t have a place to sleep at. And it has cost me extra money that I wasn’t anticipating to spend. This has been a horrendous experience!
