Thirty kilometers away lies the archaeological site of the Roman villa La Olmeda, in the town of Saldaña. It is a large rural mansion from the Late Roman Empire (4th century AD), whose main building, or pars urbana, has a square floor plan flanked by towers at each corner and is arranged around a central courtyard and peristyle onto which the various rooms open. This palatial villa covers an area of 4,400 m² with a total of 35 rooms distributed between the main residence and the baths, 26 of which are decorated with 1,450 m² of polychrome mosaics preserved in situ. The complex was declared a Site of Cultural Interest on April 3, 1996.
