About this house rental
Wake up in this private tranquil retreat. The cozy, 2 bed 1 bath mid-century modern cottage is located on over two acres of land boasting a back deck, lovely ridge views, a lawn, and woods for a great place to enjoy the outdoors.
Olive Star Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, stocked with all the essentials, new stainless appliances and sliding doors out onto the deck.
The living room has been outfitted with mid-century modern furniture and the comfortable couch is perfect for movie watching in front of the gas fire.
There is also outdoor seating, hammock, umbrellas, a fire pit and a grill for use in warmer weather.
The house has two bedrooms with queen size beds and a ceramic tile bathroom - linens and towels are provided in addition to basic toiletries. A Marshall speaker & wireless internet access provide the entertainment.
Guests have access to the ground floor of the property (the upstairs space is not available for guests) and the expansive lawn. Dogs are welcome . A one time pet fee of $40 applies.
We are available 24/7 with questions, concerns or suggestions, otherwise we want you to enjoy the privacy of your vacation.
The house is a five minute drive from the beautiful Ashokan Reservoir and a close drive to hiking trails, watering holes, and apple picking. The wonderful restaurants located in Stone Ridge, High Falls, and Woodstock are also just 20 minutes away.

My loved ones and I had a wonderful time here it was the perfect place! The view from the front of the house is amazing- we were greeted by the full moon the day of arrival and just like that the rest of our time there was magical. Close by to some of my favorite towns like Woodstock and New Paltz. Would highly recommend. My only complaint would be that I wasn’t aware that Vrbo charges for an extra guest when theres more then 3 ppl despite the house being for 4 guest only after booking. Maybe I missed it before hand and not a complaint towards the host seems more of a platform thing. Our host was amazing and responded quickly!

This was a romantic getaway weekend for my husband and myself. The house location was really optimal, close to so much dining and hiking, quiet with everything you need. All the amenities were seen to. The bed was really comfortable, the fire place is cozy. The check out instructions were streamlined and easy. The host was accessible and gave great suggestions and the guest book was helpful as well. I would definitely go again.

Our stay at Olive Star Cottage was delightful from start to finish. The host sent clear, detailed instructions for use. The cottage was cozy, comfortable and quiet. The fall views were breathtaking.
