Lovelia Maisonette Chania

First of all, I really appreciated the way we were welcomed by the host, who even provided a cake specially prepared by Yiannis's mother. Yiannis is a wonderful host who pays great attention to detail and provides all the necessary information well in advance to make the stay very easy. The house looks exactly as shown on Booking and has all the amenities to make you feel right at home. I really liked the lighting in the house. The house is a two-minute walk from the bus stop for route 11, and a shop and a pastry shop—supplying basic essentials—are also just two minutes away.

Those traveling by bus should pay attention to the schedule for bus number 11, as it does not run very frequently on weekends. It is better to buy tickets from ticket machines rather than directly from the driver, as are more expensive. Bus tickets can also be purchased at certain newsstands. For those renting a car, finding a parking space is challenging.

Für uns war die Lage super. 20 minuten zu Fuß zum Strand oder kurz mit Bus für 1,30€ zum größeren Strand. Abgelegen und trotzdem wunderschön für einen abendlichen Spaziergang in kleine Lokale weit weg vom Tourismus. Ein kleiner Supermarkt mit 300m Fußweg für die täglichen Einkäufe. Für uns perfekte Lage.

Leider war es für so perfekt, dass wir nicht finden was uns nicht gefallen hat. Was einigen nicht gefallen könnte, ist das Wohnen auf 3 Etagen und das damit verbundene Treppen laufen.

Tout ! La maisonnette est très bien conçue et aménagée avec beaucoup de goût, on s’y sent tout de suite très bien. Yiannis est un hôte très sympathique et arrangeant, soucieux du confort de ses hôtes. Sans oublier les petits présents et le très bon gâteau fait par sa maman, un délice ! L’appartement est aussi très bien situé, on rejoint la Canée par une belle balade le long de la mer 😊 Il y’a également des commerces à proximité ainsi que le nouveau musée d’archéologie.

Clean, well furnished and decorated

We checked in and then checked out after one hour. The tiny apartment was much smaller than it appeared in the Booking photos and was not suitable for taller people. It was difficult to move around in the bedroom and bathroom. The listing’s images make the place look spacious, but in reality it is cramped. We were also disappointed there was no usable balcony — only a small one facing the street. The parking area felt insecure, with several old damaged cars parked there; we were concerned about the safety of our rental car.
