Can Xeliu

A great house for a long weekend for eight friends, with plenty of space for us all. We spent most of our time by the pool - there were enough sun loungers for us all and pool towels were provided which was handy. Because it was so hot, it would have been great to have another patio umbrella, but when we'd had too much sun, we moved round to the outdoor dining area, which was shaded and had a fan. There are views towards the mountains and the area is very quiet. The house is a short walk to the town and well stocked supermarket (with amazing bakery!) The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and three bathrooms was just about enough for us all to get ready to go out in time! The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of crockery, utensils and appliances. Jaime the host was very helpful throughout, and kindly let us leave our bags to collect later. Soller is a great location, with lots to keep us entertained (lovely town, Saturday market, tram ride to Port de Soller, train ride to Palma).

Had there been air con (in the bedrooms) this house would have been perfect. The rooms with ceiling fans were slightly cooler than the couple of rooms without (which did have freestanding/wall mounted fans).

Location was excellent for the centre of Soller

Lack of air conditioning meant the nights were pretty uncomfortable with temperatures hitting mid 30s during the day, not much cooler in the evenings

The Villa location is excellent, the outside Kitchen area & pool are perfect. Some of the interior areas are a little dated but the property is very characterful and comfortable. The added bonus was definitely the resident Turtle in the pond who was swimming in the pool on our arrival! The local shop is a 4 minute walk away and the property is perfectly located and within easy walking distance of Soller Centre and access to the tram to travel to Port de Soller. Jaime the host was excellent and responded quickly to any queries, facilitating our late checkin, getting shopping in the Villa for our arrival and allowing us to negotiate a later check out as our flights were not until late evening.

Some of the local Taxi companies were unreliable.

Loved the pool, the closeness to town and the spacious rooms.
