Didn't like anything about my experience there, horrible

Arrived after 16.00, it was raining, rang the doorbell and it took quite a long while before someone appeared through a side gate. There was no greeting. I explained that I had a reservation, tried to show the lady the booking on my phone but she seemed uninterested, saying she doesn't have her glasses. She didn't even know what room I had booked and tried to give me a room without ensuite. I tried to explain and all she said was that it probably wax room no 6. She then gave me a front door key. I had to ask about the key to the bedroom to which she rudely said it was in the bedroom door. She then walked off and disappeared back through the side gate. There was no further explanation as to the security, layout or health and safety explanation of the house. I called out to her but she never answered or came to my assistance. I then had to find the room myself. There were no coffee or tea making facilities in the room, no folded clean towels on the bed. In the bathroom there were two towels thrown over the bath, looked like they have been used. The wardrobe handles were broken and missing, the bed was uncomfortable. I left early before 6am and could wait to get out of there. I looked the front and threw the key through the letter box as there was no explanation of where I could leave the key.

The location could have been better described as at first I did not know it was a guest house. I had to call the phone number I was given on my confirmation Email. There are no staff on site so as to help you .

Huge bed bugs on the bed. Had to sleep on the floor as manager did not answer my phone. Contacted next day for a refund, no apologies ane got called a racist!

Such a lovely guest house! Very clean, quiet, and relaxing from the moment I arrived. Everything was nicely organised and comfortable. I felt safe and rested, and I would happily stay here again.

There was nothing negative for me; it was a very pleasant stay.

Noisy party going on in the living room below my room till 05:50am! Contacted host didn’t get a reply till 08:42am
