Lake Hill Resort Kanchanaburi

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The location is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature, which made it a great place to relax and unwind. We really enjoyed the varied breakfast options, and the dinner choices at the hotel were also very good. As there isn’t much within walking distance of the hotel, we appreciated that the hotel arranged transport for us to and from Erawan Waterfalls at a reasonable fee. They were also very kind and accommodating, stopping along the way so we could pick up various snacks, which was especially helpful when travelling with the kids. One of the highlights of our stay was kayaking with the kids, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and the peaceful surroundings and friendly service made our stay very pleasant.

It would have been helpful if the dinner service hours, which end at 7pm, had been highlighted more clearly. Thankfully, we arrived just in time. After a long day of travelling, we also found the assistance with our luggage to be limited. The room was not cleaned each day, and the dinner plates left outside were not collected overnight, resulting in them being covered in ants by the following morning.

Das Frühstück war von der Auswahl her eher klein, aber vollkommen ausreichend und sehr gut. Das Personal immer sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Die Häuser und Einrichtungen des Hotels sind zwar teilweise etwas pflegebedürftig (Stange für den Duschvorhand ist leider "heruntergekracht" und wurde auf unseren Hinweis hin einfach entfernt und neben die Wohneinheit gelegt). Aber das Klima macht es natürlich extrem schwer die Bausubstanz in Schuss zu halten.

Das Restaurant schließt leider schon um 19 Uhr und drumherum gibt es nicht wirklich viele Alternativmöglichkeiten, wenn man keinen fahrbaren Untersatz hat.

Die Unterkunft liegt nahe am Erawan-Park. Die Kanus und SUPs können von den Gästen ohne bestimmte Zeitangaben genutzt werden - das ist toll!

Wir waren im letzten Jahr schon einmal in einem Floatinghaus u. fanden es so schön, dass wir erneut gebucht haben. Leider waren die Fotos auf booking irreführend u. wir hatten letztlich eine kleine "Villa", die nicht direkt am Fluss, sondern oben an der Straße lag. Der Inhaber bot uns allerdings an, die letzte Nacht zu stornieren u. übernahm auch die Korrespondenz mit Booking. An dieser Stelle vielen Dank! Leider habe ich einen Original-Doppel-Netzstecker in unserer Villa hängen lassen, der offensichtlich nicht vom Reinigungspersonal gefunden wurde, obwohl wir gleich am nächsten Tag anriefen u. baten, danach zu schauen.

Nice location next to the river and close to the erawan falls. Free kayaks and sup. Pool with a view.

A lot of small flies (?) on the bed, ants inside. A very big noisy airco which is quite binary. Off: the room heats fast at night, on: a lot of sound and strong flow. Even in lowest stand. Food was ok - small portions. Don’t expect luxury, just a basic stay and then all is fine. We enjoyed.
