Brand new and central apartment in Alghero for 5 people, Air Conditioning

We are very happy with the apartment and its location in Alghero. We are five persons that stayed for two weeks and really enjoyed our holiday. The apartement is in very good condition with a modern kitchen and bathroom, two nice bedrooms and a small balcony facing the street. It is a few minutes walk into the lovely old town of Alghero with lots of restaurants and boutiques. The nearest beach Lido is OK but we preferered to walk a couple of kilometers every day to the beutiful beach Maria Pia in the outside of Alghero. I also strongly recommend a visit by bus or car to La Pelosa which is a fantastic paradisebeach an hour from Alghero. We rented a car for a couple of days and visited Stintino, Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo, Costa Smeralda and Santa Teresa di Gallura. All lovely places well worth a visit! At last we want to give the owner of the apartement (Alberto) a special thank you! He was extremly helpful to us and made our stay in Alghero even more pleasant. The apartment was really great - modern, tastefully furnished, fully equipped and with air conditioning in both bedrooms and in the kitchen. It's located in a calm street (very close to a supermaket) approximately 10 minutes by foot to the Old Town and to the nearest beach. We didn't rent a car this time but if we go there again we definitely will because public transportation is somewhat limited. However, you can quite easily go by bus to the breathtakingly beautiful beach "La Pelosa" on the northern tip of the island - it's really worth a visit or two. We also went on a few boat trips during our stay in Alghero, very nice if you enjoy being out on the sea. We recieved a very warm welcome upon our arrival and were very happy with our stay in the apartment and in Alghero. We would very much like to go back some day!
