Beautiful backyard farm. Very quiet. Pool. Walking trails and beaches nearby.

Very clean and quiet!!

Wonderful apartment and location

This is the first time we have stayed somewhere multiple times. We came last year and loved the place so much we booked it for this year before we even left. It is perfect for us. The owners are so nice they are like family. We love the horse and sheep and visit them daily, along with the beautiful and well behaved dogs. The bed is super comfortable with is very important to us. I have never felt more comfortable at a VRBO.

First of all, I have to mention that the owners of this property are wonderful people. The backyard farm they own is "an oasis for animals in need" (her words), and is very clean and well kept. The animals are clearly well cared for and Lauren's love for them is obvious. As for the rental property, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in the Ipswich area. The apartment, recently renovated, is spotless and comfortable with everything we needed at our fingertips. Be warned, however, that July is greenhead (biting flies) season. On the farm, not much of a problem due to their fly-control efforts, but outside of there, it can be a problem, so bring bug spray! Lauren thoughtfully provided Skin-So-Soft and encouraged us to bring it along with us while sightseeing or going to the beach. She also had fresh eggs and butter, half-and-half, and a lemon-blueberry cake in the fridge on our arrival. What a welcome treat! The pool, which we did not take advantage of, is right outside the sliding glass door and it, too, is an oasis, being beautifully landscaped with plenty of seating options and pool floats available. If we weren't so busy sightseeing, we would have spent all our time enjoying the pool. The location is perfect for visiting Ipswich, just a drive of a few minutes. Appleton Farm is right around the corner; you could easily walk there. Gloucester, Newburyport, and Rockport are all within a half-hour drive. In a nutshell, when visiting Ipswich, stay here!
